Shin Kong Mitukoshi (新光三越) shopping centre in Taipei is located in the pedestrian zone near Taipei 101 Tower. On the roof of SKM a functional intensive green roof was installed with a playground for children full of slides, swings and sea saws in the central part. Around the central part, fountains and ponds are installed which was closed in winter, but in summer the fountain changes colour and shapes of water. In addition there is a little train with rails that encircle the whole roof garden.

The second part of the green roof is on a platform, which is not passable for visitors. This part is covered with grass and typical tree of Asia - a cherry tree.
