The closing ceremony of the First Environmental Film Festival Green Screen Fest in Belgrade has been performed on 17th of November. The prizes has been given away for the following categories : amateur film, short film, special prize from the Secreteriat of Environmental Protection, special prize from MTV and special mention prize for high quality film production.
If you have visited the festival, you saw our team on Ecoist stand and could have spoken to our lovely environmental promoters, which were explaing who we are and what we do. Having a environmental background, they were keep to answer to all your green questions and did surveys on your opinion and vision of Green BEOgrad (meaning WHITEcity). Interesting results will soon be published on our site.
Our Ecoist team has also promoted 10:10 global action, with whom we partnered with and represent in Serbia. On this occasion, we were giving away 10:10 check-lists with 10 points you can do yourself to reduce your carbon footprint for 10% each year, starting 2010.
We also had some give aways - 10:10 tags that have been made from recycled Boing 737 airoplane! Yes, really they are! This unfortunate airoplane has flown above volcanic eruption of Galunggung mountain, when the ash has damaged all four engines. See and read the whole interesting story here.
